Celtic ''Go Again'' against Jags – Rock Sport

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers says his side ” go again ” against Glasgow rivals Partick Thistle on Wednesday night [ December 20th ] as they try to put the end of their 69 game unbeaten domestic streak behind them and concentrate on three home points against the Firhill club.

The bhoys traditionally have a habit of bouncing back in matches straight after an embarrassing domestic or European defeat so Thistle will catch a home side looking to prove a point that it is business as usual on the way to another Premiership title.

Hearts defeated Celtic 4-0 at Tynecastle on Sunday with Jambos boss Craig Levein copying tactics used by Anderlecht when the Belgians beat Celtic 1-0 at Parkhead in the Champions League recently.

The match at Parkhead kicks off at 7.45pm

Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic is a doubt for Partick Thistle’s visit after picking up a knock against Hearts.

Midfielder Tom Rogic is out until the new year with a knee problem, while on-loan winger Patrick Roberts has returned to Manchester City for treatment on a hamstring injury.

Thistle boss Alan Archibald has no fresh injury concerns.

Stuart Bannigan, Callum Booth, Mustapha Dumbuya, Christie Elliott and Abdul Osman remain out with long-term issues.
