FOUR second-half tries saw Millom overhaul a 18-14 deficit at the interval to win 36-18 and book their place in the second round of the Challenge Cup at the expense of Angus based Strathmore Silverbacks.
The hosts had gone ahead at Devonshire Road in the fourth minute, but two converted tries from lively interchange man Craig Lawson helped the Scottish champions establish a four-point advantage at half time.
But having gone back ahead soon after play resumed, Millom wrested control back on the hour when a superb counter-attack was finished by Scott Fisher just moments after Strathmore had a try disallowed and a yellow card had temporarily reduced the home side, nicknamed the Woolybacks, to 12 men.
