Fans Make Donation As Fifers Fight For Survival

Written by on April 3, 2018

Cowdenbeath manager Gary Bollan has said the Fife side will ” absolutely give it their best shot ” in their remaining games as they try to avoid the pyramid play off against the winners of the Highland or Lowland League at the end of the season.

Currently Cove Rangers are in pole position to win the Highland League while the Lowland League champions are likely to be Spartans or East Kilbride.
The Central Park outfit are 10 points behind Berwick Rangers at the bottom of League 2 but the border side have a game in hand so it seems almost certain the Blue Brazil will face a relegation play off for the second season running.
Meanwhile, members of the Fife side’s 100 Club have made a significant cash donation of £10,000 to Cowdenbeath FC as Cowden try to raise a total of £135,000 to keep the club afloat beyond the end of this season.
The Blue Brazil’s home game v Montrose was called off on Tuesday. [ 3rd April ]
