Could Gemmill Be The Man For Scotland?

Written by on January 29, 2018

Scot Gemmill, the current Scotland Under-21 manager, has emerged as serious contender for the vacancy with the senior national team, with the former Nottingham Forest and Everton midfielder having impressed the Scottish Football Association during his work with the under-17 and under-21 sides in the past four years.

The SFA have been under severe pressure from media and fans alike for not landing prefered target Michael O’Neill but now the chances of promoting the son of former Scotland star Archie Gemmill, who scored Scotland’s most famous goal at the 1978 World Cup, to the top job have improved following discussions within the inner sanctum of the governing body.
