East Kilbride and Cove Rangers are close to clinching their respective Lowland and Highland Leagues but EK must keep winning as teams below them in the Lowland League have games in hand.
The non-league sides from Central Scotland and Aberdeenshire are favourites currently to once again meet each other in the first instalment of the Pyramid Play Off with the winners meeting the bottom club in the SPFL [ Team 42 ] in the final for a place in next season’s SPFL League Two.
Currently, it is looking like a carbon copy of last season with Cowdenbeath again set to meet a non-league side to protect their League Two status, last season they just pipped Kilby on penalties after a draw over two legs in the Pyramid Final.
Cove Rangers now seem unstoppable in the Highland League as they are six points clear of Fraserburgh with Cove having games in hand.
Cowdenbeath are 12 points adrift at the bottom of League Two.
