AN UNWITTING fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers got a Scottish surprise when he turned up at the SSE Arena in Belfast.
Duncan Robb thought he had got a bargain to see the rock but had instead purchased tickets to see the Red Hot Chili PIPERS.
Mr Robb, from Derbyshire, got the £30 tickets for the SSE Arena as a Christmas present along with flights to Northern Ireland and accommodation in what he hoped would be a weekend to remember but his error turned it into something of a “nightmare”.
He wrote on Twitter: “Still can’t believe we’ve flown over to Belfast not for the Chili Peppers but to see the ‘worlds best bagpipe band’ Chilli Pipers… thought I’d got a rate good deal on tickets n’all.
“Had a nightmare.”
Mr Robb said: “When I clicked on and got tickets in row Q and for £30 each I thought ‘what a bargain’, there must not be many tickets left and snatched them up straight away. ”
He said the pair went ahead with their trip despite the mistake, saying it was “definitely an experience”.
